Stargazing Remixed Vol 1. Our EP remixed by a diverse bunch of international artists  Out Now

Stargazing - Inspired by the film Dark Star. A collection of Animat’s trademark downtempo dubby electronica adapted from the soundtracking score. Out now.

With the express permission of John Carpenter himself, Animat have turned their hand to Dark Star. Combining the unique talents of Carpenter and Alien screenwriter Dan O’Bannon the films is both a parody of 2001 A Space Odyssey  and the first film to introduce the ennui caused by long space missions.

Despite being made on a tiny budget, Carpenter’s graduation movie succeeds as a comedy and as groundbreaking sci-fi - it also includes probably the most bizarre alien ever. Catch the Animat soundtracking Dark Star tour
